AJ Rodriguez

High School Choral Director

A.J. Rodriguez (she/they) has been teaching high school choral ensembles since 2014. A.J. is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor’s in Choral Music Education. A.J. began their career in Kissimmee Florida teaching at Poinciana High School.

A.J.’s choirs have received superior ratings at the District and State level in Florida. In 2016, A.J. moved back to teach at their alma mater, South County Middle & High School. A.J. is also a tenor that sings professionally in the Northern Virginia area.

Currently, their choirs have been invited to sing at this year’s Virginia Music Educators Association’s conference. A.J. has become passionate about their activism in ensuring equity towards transgender and gender expansive students as well as people of color in the choral classroom and community.


Sherlee Glomb

Middle School Choral Director

Sherlee Glomb is the choral director at South County Middle School in Fairfax County. She received her Master of Music Education degree with emphasis in choral conducting from Florida State University, a Post-Masters degree in administration from George Washington University, and received a Bachelors of Music degree from James Madison University in piano performance.

Mrs. Glomb has over twenty years of public school teaching experience at every level throughout Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Prince William County and Orange County in Winter Park, Florida.

Mrs. Glomb’s groups have performed at invitational performances including the White House, Lee-Fendall House and the Washington Bach Consort. In addition, Mrs. Glomb’s ensembles most recently performed at the Virginia Music Educator’s Association Conference in Hot Springs, Virginia and was featured on Channel 7 news show "Good Morning Washington." Mrs. Glomb has given conference presentations at the Florida Music Educators Association Conference in Tampa, Florida and the American Choral Directors Association in Philadelphia, PA.

Mrs. Glomb has held District XI Chairperson for Choral Directors in the Fairfax County Public Schools and has been recognized as an “Emerging Leader” of the Virginia Choral Directors Association. Mrs. Glomb has served as a clinician for middle and high school honor choirs, as well as a festival adjudicator, throughout the state of Florida, Virginia, and Maryland.

She is a member of NAfME, VMEA, ACDA and SAI. She resides in Bristow, Virginia with her husband Scott and three sons Lucas, Carter, Nicholas, and her dachshund, Dusty. She is excited to be back in Loudoun County to work with these fine students!
